Antique pair of George III wine coolers circa 1800

Once owned by the Sandeman port family were sold off when the estate was sold in 1979

The manor of Ellel was bought by William Preston, former Mayor of Liverpool, in the 1850s. The house at Ellel Grange was built in 1860. When George T R Preston died in 1891 his only daughter Margaret Helena inherited the property; she married Thomas Glas Sandeman (1877-1965) in 1907 and died in 1945.
